At Cloward Dentistry, we specialize in preventive dentistry that helps you save money over the long run and helps save your teeth too. Why pay thousands for dental treatments later, when you can take care of your teeth today?
Preventive dentistry is a term that refers to any treatments we offer that reduce the risk of future dental problems. While there are some things you can do at home, including using mouthwash and brushing your teeth regularly, there are other treatments that you can only get in a professional dental office. We can work with you to develop a treatment plan that takes care of any cavities you have and any other problems that we find, and we will work with you to save and protect your teeth. Preventive dentistry can also reduce your risk of gum disease and other oral conditions.
We recommend that patients see us at least twice a year. During your appointment, we will clean your teeth and do a routine check up. Regular cleanings remove tartar and plaque build up from your teeth and leave your mouth feeling clean and healthy. We may also take x-rays that help us identify cavities beneath the surface of your teeth, cavities inside your teeth and other potential problems. If we do find signs of a cavity, oftentimes we can often fill that cavity during the same appointment.
Far too many of us only see a dentist when we experience some mild dental discomfort or pain. By the time you reach that point, you may need a root canal or a more expensive treatment. Visiting our office at least once every six months for preventive dentistry allows us to save you time and money as well as your teeth. After removing the build up on your teeth, you might notice that your smile looks brighter and healthier. We can also identify signs of periodontal diseases and other mouth conditions and start you on a treatment plan to improve the look and condition of your teeth.
At Cloward Dentistry, we recommend that you schedule your child's first appointment before your child turns one year old. If your child recently grew his or her first tooth, you can contact us for an appointment. We can help your child start off his or her dental health on the right foot with suggestions as to what you can do at home and treatments available in our office. Call us today to schedule an appointment for your next cleaning or to learn more about our preventive dentistry services.
